I can't believe we are already half way through January, I guess time does pass more quickly the older you get! And now it's February, an even shorter month. However, people seem to be a bit happier despite the freezing weather. And, it is easy to tell why; we have 2 great days to look forward to next month; pancake day and Valentine's day!
Valentine's is a day to look forward to; whether you are in a relationship or not. Everyone deserves a nice, relaxing evening, whether it be spent on the sofa with a large pizza and Titanic on the screen or enjoying a candlelit dinner.
There are a number of things you can do to celebrate Valentines day:
- Go out on a date with your partner
- Sit in with a bowl of treats and binge watch TV
- Cook a nice romantic meal at home
- Have a nice hot bubble bath and read a good book.
- Forget romance and have a horror movie night with friends. (that way, romance is literally dead)!
So, once you have decided what you are doing to celebrate Valentines day, you can purchase items you need to make your evening that bit more special.
I think it is safe to say that if the lighting is right, then our moods are lifted. In my opinion, a warm, orange light filling a room is very soothing and romantic. However, there is something that is just as important as creating the right mood, and that is purchasing gifts for your valentine (even if it is yourself)!
And, if all else fails, at least we have pancake day to look forward to?
