Glutz Single Three Point Multipoint Lock
A three point multipoint lock with latch bolt and three deadbolts controlled by a europrofile cylinder (not supplied) with a stainless steel 1788mm long x 20mm wide radiused forend, manufactured by Glutz from Switzerland.
Unlike other multipoint locks, the locking is solely controlled by the cylinder which therefore means that you do not have to use the lever handle to "lift up" to lock; the advantage being that you can use standard door lever handles or pull handles which gives you much greater choice for your entrance.The multipoint central lock has a backset (distance from edge of door to handle/cylinder) of 60mm with 25mm double throw (two cylinder turns) and is suitable for un-sprung lever handles and euro-profile cylinders; whilst the top and bottom locks have 20mm double throw deep bolts.
The distance between the centre of the lever handle and cylinder is 78mm which aesthetically when viewed on a door is less cramped than conventional UK locks.This multipoint has been Third Party tested to European standard ENV1627-30 Grade 3 for resistance performance which exceeds that currently acceptable for PAS24 high security doors.
